Helping Homeless Pets was created in November 2006 to help pets who need a new home and to help reduce the number of pets who may become homeless. Their mission is to support legitimate and ethical Pet Rescue organizations by assisting them with certain services and allowing them to focus on the care and finding of a suitable home for the pets they have rescued.

About our Foster Camper ® program...
Dogs at Camp is proud to introduce this new program, which we have put in place at each of our three locations in order to assist the many dog rescue organizations throughout Ontario.
As we all know, virtually all animal shelters are consistently overcrowded. Thankfully, there are folks who work hard, each and every day, to help find homes for the thousands of dogs who need them.
Dogs at Camp was inspired by Abby, a dog rescued from the Fort Lauderdale Humane Society. Abby had unfortunately been mistreated by previous owners, and in addition - suffers from epileptic seizures. Abby is now as happy as a ‘mutt’ can be, living a life of luxury with the founder of Dogs at Camp (Glen Kowarsky) - at our Uxbridge location, which has been her home for the last seven years. She is indeed a rescue success case!
Dogs at Camp to the rescue(s)!
We have now forged a relationship with both Helping Homeless Pets, and B.A.R.K. These rescue organizations' devotion and dedication to dogs aligns well with our own. Each Dogs at Camp location will keep three spots open, at all times, for dogs in need of foster care while they await their permanent homes.
